To Whom It May Concern, I have had the pleasure of knowing Mr. Scott G. Sutton in a working relationship for the past two years. I was his supervisor when he served as our Summer Intern in archaeology from May to August in 1993. I was again his supervisor, from May to December 1994, when he analyzed the results and wrote a report on an archaeological excavation conducted by this agency. Therefore, I believe that I am in a good position to comment on Scott's work habits, attitudes, and abilities. Scott is a good, hard worker. He has a good work attitude and works well with others. He also works well in unsupervised situations. In the summer of 1993, he worked on a variety of archaeological projects in various field conditions including temperatures exceeding 100 degrees Fahrenheit. He performed his work (involving physical labor) efficiently and cheerfully, getting along well with three other employees. During 1994, he was assigned the task of analyzing the artifacts and other data from excavations conducted five years previously. He handled this task well, usually working in unsupervised situations. He was able to complete a written report on this work, as well as use some of the information as the basis of his master's thesis. In summary, I have been very pleased with the work Scott has done. I would not hesitate to give him a good, positive endorsement for other employment. Sincerely, Wayne D. Roberts |
