Liberty Magazine

To Whom It May Concern:

Scott Sutton was an editorial intern at Liberty magazine from April to July of 1997. He was an exemplary employee and made significant contributions to the quality and efficiency of our operations.

In his work as an editorial assistant, Scott was quite helpful to me. He is a good proofreader and also made editorial suggestions that improved many of the articles we published during his time here. While he was at Liberty, Scott initiated a project to improve the timeliness and quality of our Web page, and he put in extra hours of his own time learning the technical aspects of the project.

Scott is a competent researcher and knows how to use both text and Internet resources to find relevant materials for his own writing and that of others. He published one major feature in the magazine as well as a number of short pieces that were well written and carefully researched.

When you tell Scott something, he listens and gets it the first time, then follows through on responsibilities without additional prompting. But he was valuable to us for his personal qualities as well as for his professional skills. He is invariably pleasant, good-humored, calm, and in general a pleasure to work with. (One of our proofreaders told me that she thought Scott had the best manners of anyone she had ever worked with.) He was a real asset to Liberty, and will be missed. I recommend him highly.

Sincerely Yours,

Nathan Crow
Managing Editor
