Letter of Reference

To whom it may concern,

This is a letter of recommendation for Scott Sutton, a writer and editor I have hired as a subcontractor to work with me on several client projects.

I am very impressed with Scott's attitude and working style:

  • He exhibits a solid work ethic, striving to provide quality, productivity, value, and timeliness.

  • He pays attention to both supervisory direction and the details fo his work product. He questions plans and reports progress regularly, but never excessively. He is focused and easy to work with.

  • His work is of high quality, and he learns new publishing tools willingly and quickly.

  • He takes his craft seriously, always looking for ways to improve his work and to refine and expand his skills.

  • He is respectful of clients, and works well within their facilities.

Given that Scott's work experience is relatively limited, I would not yet consider him a senior writer, but recommend him strongly as a fast-growing junior-intermediate writer.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Sincerely,

Jon Lee
